What do you mean by ‘holistic treatment’?

Holistic treatment means that I treat the whole person with a range of treatments.  While the biggest part of my treatment is nutrition, it is sometimes useful to introduce other treatments.

For example, I also have energetic healing qualifications so I use Bach Flower Essences and Australian Bush Flower Essences where appropriate. I can make these up personally for your individual requirements.

If you only want nutrition advice, that is absolutely fine.  I never push any ideas or treatments on to you – it is always your choice.

Why do you use the tagline, ‘Food for living’?

Without food we can’t survive.  But, eating the wrong foods can stop us from living to our full health potential.  At Informed Health I offer advice, guidance and support to help you burst with energy and fire on all cylinders.

What happens at the free 30 minute appointment?

This appointments is an opportunity for us to have a chat so you can find out more about how we can help you, at this appointment we can answer any questions you may have about our treatments.

Do you offer Skype or phone consultations?

Yes we do. The first 2-3 appointments need to be in our Penrith clinic so we can be thorough and do all of the relevant testing and health assessments in person. After that, we can do Skype or phone consultations.

Preparation for the Initial Nutrition Consultation?

Prior to the Initial Nutrition Consultation you will receive two emails, a Health Questionnaire from our office (allow yourself at least 1/2 hour to fill in this form). A second email will be sent from BioConcepts, a Mood Questionnaire which is to be completed online (the results are automatically forwarded to our office). It is very important that both of these Questionnaires are completed before this appointment.

At your initial nutrition consultation, we look at clinical signs of nutritional deficiencies, doing various testing (urine test, zinc tally test). We then create a nutrition plan tailored to your needs for correcting your metabolism, hormones, repair the gut wall, providing increased absorption of vital nutrients from the diet. Without excellent absorption ability, our immune system suffers, and our energy is depleted, usually stimulating blood sugar levels to be all over the place, causing sugar cravings which only encourages further poor dietary habits.

Interestingly, clients say that I am the first person who has taken the time to explain their health condition to them properly, even though they have often been to many other health professionals.

Can I claim my Nutrition Consultations through my private health fund?

Yes, if your health fund covers Nutrition and if your level of cover includes Nutrition. I always provide receipts with the correct provider number and details for you to use in your claim.

Is Informed Health on Facebook or Twitter?

Yes, both – you can find links on the contact us page.
